Alcoholism

George Washington University provides many academic and social opportunities that help to develop growth and independence. From the Capitol to Adams Morgan, Washington, DC is a vibrant place. With the stress that comes from studying at GW, there is also plenty of time to blow off some steam and have a good time with friends. Let's be real, we all know about "thirsty" Thursday and cheap drinks on Tuesday nights at McFaddens. It's fun to have a few games of beer pong with your friends on Friday nights, and go out to Adams Morgan on Saturday, but when is it too much? In a study conducted by Harvard University's School of Public Health, it was found that 44% of college students engaged in binge drinking behaviors in a two week span. Click here to learn more about the findings of this study. These kind of behaviors are extremely harmful to the body, and can even lead to death.

Below is a quiz provided from Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) which helps individuals address whether or not their drinking behavior is a serious problem, and if he or she is an alcoholic. If you are worried about your drinking behavior, take this quiz answering either ''yes' or 'no'. Remember to complete it with absolute honesty; lying to yourself will not solve the problem.
